If you’re interested in grassroots politics and community organizing, and enjoy solving people’s problems, then you could be a good fit for the part-time or casual position of  Electorate Officer (Campaigns and Communications Organiser). 

We are looking for a person who loves South Australia, and who is passionate about community advocacy and campaigns. You will need to be a good team player with strong written and interpersonal skills, and a willingness to learn campaign and content creation skills. 

The Role includes: 

• Supporting the implementation of a community engagement plan 
• Assisting with community events, functions, forums and meetings 
• A proactive approach to community outreach 
• Liaising with Ministerial offices, government departments, and community organisations
•  Supporting the Communications and Media Officer with content development
• •Supporting constituents with requests for information and assistance relating to Federal Government programs, offices, agencies, and departments 
• Digital and graphic content creation skills, or a willingness to learn 
• Other duties as directed. 

This role may be offered to a suitable candidate on a flexible basis, either as part-time or casual.  We encourage applicants to discuss their potential schedules with us.

Remuneration based on the  Commonwealth Members of Parliament Staff Enterprise Agreement 2020-2023 will be payable to the successful candidates based on arrangements reached.  

If employed on an on-going basis, a probationary period of 3 months will apply. All staff will be employed under the Members of Parliament (Staff) Act 1984. Condi�ons of employment are governed by the Commonwealth Members of Parliament Staff Enterprise Agreement 2020-2023.
