About the role
Are you a finance whiz? Do you care about the role of journalism in a working democracy? We’re looking for a part-time finance superstar to join our passionate team and we want to hear from you!
PIJI is seeking a finance manager 1 to 1.5 days per week. They will be responsible for ensuring high quality financial operations that meet our strategic, contractual and financial targets. They will play a critical role in leading PIJI’s strategic direction beyond 2023.
Operationally, the finance manager is responsible for the completion of month-end financial reporting as well as the day-to-day financial operations to achieve optimum outcomes as well as effective use of human resources, external suppliers and business assets. You will work with the CEO to deliver budgets, assist with regular and ad-hoc reporting requests, and closely monitor financial compliance matters.
Who are you? Well we hope you:
- You have experience working with a board of directors and finance subcommittee
- You have a high level understanding of corporate governance and hold a relevant tertiary qualification.
- Have worked in a not-for-profit environment previously
- Are self-motivated and thrive in fast-paced, flexible working environments
