About the role

The Grants Coordinator will:

  • Research and identify emerging and existing funding opportunities (incl. government and philanthropy) in line with MND Australia’s strategic priorities and relevant trends in health care practice and research.
  • Coordinate, research, prepare and submit high quality grant submissions, meeting selection criteria and submission deadlines.
  • Implement processes to manage, track, and report on upcoming funding opportunities and the status of all grant applications (in progress and secured), including adherence to data confidentiality, ethics requirements and other quality assurance processes.
  • Ensure that acquittal reports and requirements are prepared and submitted.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and funding bodies.

 

About You

We will be interested in learning more about you if you have all or most of the following:

  • Extensive demonstrated experience in identifying, researching, writing, and preparing successful evidence-based grant submissions.
  • An in-depth knowledge of the grant funding process particularly relating to the health, disability and/or aged care sectors, including strategies to obtain funding.
  • Highly developed written and verbal communications skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and relationship management skills with proven ability to establish good working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.

 

Position Type

This new position is initially at one day per week, although this is negotiable. The position is subject to a six-month probation period.

The position will work closely with MND Australia’s Chief Executive Officer, State MND Associations and a range of stakeholders and partners.
