Hume City Council is seeking a Community Engagement Support Officer to support the work of the Community Capacity Building team. Experience in administration, graphic design, event management and community engagement with diverse communities are required in this dynamic role.

Position Objectives

• To support the delivery of the Community Capacity Building programs, activities and events.
• To support the participation and engagement of a wide range of communities and key stakeholders in Community Capacity Building programs, activities and events through program development and delivery and community engagement strategies.
• To support the day-to-day operations of the Community Capacity Building team.

Qualifications and Experience

• A nationally recognised tertiary qualification in Community Engagement or Community Development or other formal qualifications with relevant experience.
• Understanding of community development in a local government setting would be highly regarded.
• Current driver’s licence.
