About the organisation
We are a leading specialist family violence service in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs. Our vision is for our community to be free from family violence where everyone is safe. Previously EDVOS, we’ve just launched our new name and identity to better express the important work we do and act as a change agent for our clients and the community.
We’ve grown to a team of around 160 people in recent years, as response services have expanded following the Royal Commission into Family Violence. We provide access and initial response services in partnership with other agencies through The Orange Doors in Croydon and Box Hill, and case management services through our support and recovery team in Ringwood.
We also work to change attitudes to gender equality to prevent violence from happening in the first place and equip the community to respond to disclosures of abuse. We do this through a range of initiatives delivered by our primary prevention, education and training team.
We apply an intersectional lens to all of our work. Our approach is trauma informed, strengths based, and person centred.
