Founded in 2020, over the last 3 years AMS has grown to over 220 employees and an annual T/O of over $18M. The recruitment of this critical role is the next step in their impressive growth trajectory.
Reporting to the CEO, the Chief Financial Officer will be responsible for the delivery of AMS’ leadership and management approach to the financial, accounting, audit, strategic, and fiscal aspects. This newly created executive role will identify and implement strategies that position AMS for growth and stability aligned with the future direction of the organisation. Sound knowledge and experience with corporate governance will provide a good foundation for the direct relationship with the CEO and Directors.
This position will ensure that all internal and external accountabilities relating to the organisation’s finances are met, timely, and of high quality. Being a part of the executive team will also provide broader opportunities within the organisation to contribute to initiatives aimed at strengthening AMS’s capabilities within the NDIS and human services sector.

Sector Experience:
Experience in an executive / senior management position in the Human Services Sector would be desirable, ideally with the National Disability Insurance Scheme.
Selection Criteria:
- Senior-level financial management expertise, including taxation, compliance, asset management, insurance, and reporting in a complex organisation including advising the CEO and Directors.
- Ability to operate through the spectrum of financial operations within the organisation.
- Proven stakeholder relationship management – ability to build relationships and strategic partnerships with AMS stakeholders including key government, non-government and statutory agencies such as the ATO.
- Ability to lead and manage people; role model and maintain motivated, professional and effective work team/s.
- High-level written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated organisational skills including time management skills, project management and problem-solving.
- High-level intrapersonal skills including conflict resolution, mediation and negotiation skills
Qualifications, Memberships & software experience:
- Proficient in the use of MYOB AccountRight and Microsoft Office including fast and accurate Data Entry Skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field.
- Professional accounting definition (CA, CMA, or CPA).
