About the organisation
Murray PHN is a not-for-profit organisation that is part of the national network of 31 Primary Health Networks funded predominantly by the Australian Government. They work closely with the primary health system to identify opportunities to improve health outcomes in the community, through better coordination and support of health services and by commissioning new services to address the health needs of the population and helping patients to receive the right care in the right place at the right. They are currently seeking an outstanding health Executive for this newly created role within the Murray PHN Executive Team.
About the role
Reporting to the Chief Executive, the Chief Operations Officer (COO) supports primary care co-ordination, healthcare provision and health reform within the challenging landscape of Australian Primary Healthcare. The position is pivotal to driving Murray PHN’s strategic plan, requiring visionary leadership to strengthen primary care and create positive change for the communities we are privileged to serve. The COO develops strong working relationships, builds trusted partnerships, and influences internal and external stakeholders to drive change and improve outcomes. Leading a dedicated team of approximately 50 professionals, the COO cultivates an organisational environment of agility, collaboration, and innovation, through the ability to build relationships and engagement with primary care providers and the communities.
Ideally, you are a seasoned Executive or senior leader with demonstrated expertise in systems thinking and adept at co-designing new care models in partnership with the primary care sector. Your track record will show an ability for forward-thinking and to be able to actively seize innovative opportunities to drive progress.
