The Organisation
Based in the Eastern suburbs (with working-from-home options), this wonderful organisation works in conjunction with other community organisations in the provision of housing support to people experiencing disadvantage.
The Position
Initially a six-month contract position (with a likelihood of extension, permanency, and even promotion), reporting to the Executive Director of the organisation, the Community Housing Property Director has oversight of all housing development projects and tenancy services to ensure quality service provision to tenants and stakeholders.
The role will focus on:
- establishing processes and systems to support development projects
- managing service delivery change, to achieve organisational and Government objectives
- leading service growth, development, innovation, and enhancement in response to reforms and funding opportunities
- providing key input to strategies to deliver a high level of service performance
- leading initiatives that improve access to housing options, including community housing, private rental, affordable housing, and homelessness services
The Person
To be successful in this role you will have:
- qualification in Social Housing, Social Science, Community Management, or related discipline
- demonstrated Senior Management experience in property and tenancy management, including an understanding of the community and public housing sectors, and familiarity with relevant legislation
- comprehensive understanding of operational service delivery, policy, and compliance requirements in the Community Housing sector
- a values-based approach to service delivery through a demonstrated commitment to the principles of social justice, and person-centred and client-led service delivery

On offer is an FTE salary of $200K plus superannuation. Attractive salary packaging benefits are also available.
