The Donor Relations Manager will raise funds from private donors including major gifts and bequests, plus corporate sponsorship, with the goal of improving patient care at Epworth. This role is a senior, collaborative
and active member of the EMF team, with the key focus of developing and managing relationships with individuals and seeking their attendance at Epworth Medical Foundation (EMF) events.

Reporting to the Philanthropy Manager, you will identify and qualify key bequest prospects, present proposals detailing funding opportunities, steward prospects to make a bequest and finalise legacy gifts. You will also recognise and nurture major gift prospects and donations, providing exceptional care, benefits and relevant reporting. You will supply excellent, helpful service to patients, visitors and staff, building courteous customer relationships and an understanding of patients’ and their family’s expectations and issues.

ABOUT YOU:

  • Alignment to Epworth’s values – Respect, Excellence, Community, Compassion, Integrity and Accountability.
  • Fundraising experience in the not-for-profit charitable sector,
  • Proven experience soliciting and stewarding major gifts and/or bequests and corporate sponsorships,
  • Experience with fundraising databases to identify, research and manage prospects,
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including monthly reporting on activities and outcomes,
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dynamic fundraising team,
  • Treat all stakeholders in a respectful, non-judgemental, inclusive and compassionate manner,
  • You are a pro-active self-starter who takes initiative and pride in your work,
  • Committed to the clinical governance framework, ensuring patients and the community receive safe, high- quality and person-centred care in every interaction with Epworth,
  • Tertiary qualification in a related field or from a professional association (FIA or CFRE) is highly regarded.
