About the organisation
Illawarra Multicultural Services (IMS) began supporting the culturally & linguistically diverse (CALD) population in the Illawarra in August 1980, providing assistance to migrants, humanitarian entrants and refugees.
Since its beginnings IMS has supported thousands of new arrivals in settling in the Illawarra and Shoalhaven regions, and has been a key stakeholder of many community celebrations and activities.
We partner with over 50 nonprofits, government departments, educational agencies, and businesses to deliver programs focused on English, education, employment, housing, accessing services, family functioning, and social support.
We offer professional casework support for families and individuals as well as many volunteering opportunities.
About the role
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
IMS is looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help others with technological enquires, technical support, device repairing and more.
Applicants who speak a second language are highly desired.
Hours are flexible.
