The Organisation
PRONIA is an innovative not-for-profit organisation with a proud 52-year history of excellence in the provision of services to their community. With a long-standing team that works across a wide range of services, you will have the opportunity to impact, support and connect with  vulnerable members of the Greek-Australian community & other CALD communities. (in Melbourne).

The range of services include crisis intervention, mental health support, disability, aged care, family and youth services.  As one of Melbourne’s Australia’s most well-regarded CALD (culturally and linguistically diverse) community service agencies, within the Greek community, it also supports advocacy, policy development and research.

The Role
Your brief is to ensure a team-based culture of outstanding service delivery by promoting continuous quality improvement and an ethos, based on the meaning of the word PRONIA, which is ‘provision by looking ahead ’ or ‘welfare.’

You will work closely with the Board in envisioning/resourcing/ ensuring the sustainable future of PRONIA through contemporary leadership and management.
In keeping with their Mission, Vision and Values, you will lead and empower a team of passionate and caring staff to deliver the 2023-2026 Strategic Plan.
  
The Person
A values-driven professional, your success in the human services sector is based on demonstrated commercial acumen, good governance and personable leadership.
  
With proven team development expertise in multi-service delivery, you are skilled in ongoing assessment of the delivery of excellent outcomes for the community. Your broad skills will ideally have been honed in a similar community setting, empowering and resourcing your functional leaders to achieve a high-performance culture.
  
You will be able to demonstrate:

  • Leadership of an organisation or significant business unit in a similar sector, such as aged care, health, not-for-profit
  • Experience in creating and executing strategic plans, including overseeing implementation of programs and delivery of services
  • Partnering with a board to deliver to key organisational goals
  • Commercial and operational acumen, with a view to understanding sector trends, and overall organisational sustainability
  • Understanding and commitment to the role and values of an ethno-specific and CALD agency
