Highett Community Financial Services Limited is currently seeking multiple Directors to join our Board.
We are expanding our volunteer board and are seeking skilled Directors experienced in local community partnerships, legal, marketing, PR and communications. We are entering a phase of growth, innovation, and deeper community partnerships and need experienced non-executive directors to join us.
Our Directors not only attend monthly board meetings. They also engage with community partners, promote our business, and contribute to our growth. The role will offer opportunities to develop your strategic planning, community engagement, risk management, and branch oversight skills. Having previous governance training (e.g. AICD Company Directors Course) would be an advantage to this role.
About You: You will be a community-minded individual with strong connections to Highett and surrounding areas. Living or working locally, you are passionate about giving back to the community and are willing to participate in local initiatives we support. You should be a good communicator, capable of building meaningful relationships and influencing others in a respectful way. You will have good commercial acumen with previous experience working in local community partnerships and engagement; marketing and communications; or legal.
Time Commitment: Approx 4-7 hours per month consisting of: up to 11 board meetings (virtual/in-person) and 11 committee meetings (virtual) per year; attendance at various partnership events; and engagement with community groups and stakeholders.
