About the role
As a Research & Project Volunteer, you will assist in supporting the coordination and delivery of a major research project. This role is a great opportunity for anyone looking to gain experience in research and project management while contributing to social justice work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research Support: Assist in data collection, analysis, and research documentation for the project.
- Project Coordination: Help in managing the day-to-day tasks and timelines of the project, ensuring it runs smoothly.
- Consultation Assistance: Contribute to gathering insights from people with lived experience in the justice system.
- Collaboration: Work closely with our passionate team to help meet the project’s goals.
Person Specification:
- Passionate about social justice, research, and working with vulnerable populations.
- Strong organisational and research skills, with attention to detail.
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Eager to learn and contribute to a meaningful project.

Lived Expert Australia is a pioneering charity founded by Mark Johnson MBE. We are working to pilot a new approach that gives people in the justice system a voice. Partnering with Corrections NSW, we are delivering a research project led by people with lived experience. We are looking for an enthusiastic volunteer to join our team and support this important work.
