The position
As the Director, Client Services, you’ll play a key role in ACON’s Senior Leadership Team, driving the strategic and operational success of essential client services.
This role has a broad scope, including overseeing clinical governance, people management, financial and risk management, and strategic stakeholder engagement. Your work will ensure that ACON’s services remain sustainable, equitable, and aligned with the needs of the communities we serve.
With direct responsibility for managing a multidisciplinary team, including psychologists, social workers, and peer workers, you’ll lead programs across mental health, HIV support, aged care, and more.
You will play an essential role in planning, delivering, and continuously improving services to create safe, inclusive, and affirming spaces. Your contributions will support ACON’s mission to provide client-centred, high-quality care that addresses complex needs and upholds health equity.
About you
To be successful in this role you must demonstrate:
- Extensive senior leadership experience in community-based support services with a proven ability to build and lead high-performing teams
- Demonstrated skills in developing and evaluating client-centred programs focused on delivering positive client outcomes
- A strong background in quality, safety, and care governance, ensuring best practices across all programs
- The ability to build meaningful partnerships with government bodies, stakeholders, and community organisations
- A commitment to ACON’s mission and an understanding of the needs of LGBTQ+ communities
Professional qualifications in Social Work or Psychology, along with full membership of the relevant professional association (e.g., AHPRA, PACFA, AASW), are essential. Experience working with diverse communities, including Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander, and culturally and linguistically diverse groups, is highly valued.
This role is based in Gadigal, Sydney.
