About the role
What You’ll Do
As our Grants and Tenders Officer you’ll be securing vital funding from government and other sources to grow our service delivery programs and community housing where they’re most needed. Your expertise will ensure our submissions are compelling, comprehensive, and impactful.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and project managing all aspects of the funding application lifecycle, from drafting persuasive responses to co-ordinating input, document layout, approvals workflow, submission and post-submission follow-up, in collaboration with team members.
- Forging and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders to position YWCA for long-term success.
- Administering funding proposals and existing contracts to maintain compliance at all times.
- Developing standardised templates and a robust content library of current evidence to support continuous improvement.
- Conducting market scans to scope out a healthy pipeline of government, trusts and foundations funding opportunities that align to YWCA’s Evolve Strategy 2026 (YeS2026).
Who You Are
We are looking for a motivated and experienced self-starter, who is action-orientated and enthusiastic about fostering a positive workplace culture, supporting our team members, and growing impact. You will have:
- Proven success in submission writing roles, with advanced writing and editing capabilities
- Exceptional project management skills with a flare for relationship building and stakeholder management
- Demonstrated ability to manage funding pipelines, adapt to shifting priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
- Confidence in systems admin and using tech-based solutions to enhance efficiency.
- Experience in community services is highly desirable, with an understanding of sector-specific challenges and opportunities.
Successful candidates will need to complete the following pre-employment requirements:
- National Criminal History Check
- Valid State-Based Working with Children Permit
