It leads a jobs and skills council that advocates for the industry’s role in the economy, focusing on workforce needs, skills development, and collaboration with the vocational education and training sector. The organisation works with various stakeholders, including employers, unions, trainers, learners, and governments, to develop a skilled workforce for the present and future.
The Role:
The Project Coordinator supports the delivery of projects by managing schedules, tracking milestones, and providing project management assistance. They will work closely with different business areas to ensure smooth operations and timely outcomes. Strong customer service skills are essential for maintaining stakeholder relationships and handling requests effectively.
- Develop standardized project reporting templates to ensure consistency and minimize duplication
- Provide timely project process reports for management decision making
- Maintain a project risk register to identify financial, reputational, legal and other relevant risks
- Contribute to performance measurement and monitoring in alignment with organisational priorities
- Provide guidance and advice to project methodology and processes
- Perform administrative tasks, including organising meetings, maintaining records, and supporting the team
- Support the PMO Manager in secretariat responsibilities for the Project Steering Committee
- Undertake additional duties as required by the PMO Manager

- Proven ability to support delivery by effectively tracking outcomes and managing information and records
- Strong organisational and records management skills with adaptability to changing circumstances
- Excellent research and analytical thinking skills, with a problem-solving mindset
- Well developed written and verbal communication abilities
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and persuade others
- Background in Project Management is desirable but not essential
