About the role

About the Role

The Strategic Impact and Learning Lead works across all of the Foundation’s focus areas, partnerships and team. This role is essential in supporting the Foundation to connect its purpose, practice and operations to longer term strategic goals and priorities. The position leads and holds the implementation and evolution of our Social Impact Measurement and Learning (SIML) framework. Your work will help us understand, articulate, and amplify the impact of our role, our partnerships, and ensure that our strategy remains evidence-based and progresses to our long term outcomes with the SA community.

Key functions

  • Social Impact Measurement & Learning Framework: Evolve and implement the Foundation’s Social Impact Measurement and Learning framework to support our understanding of progress against our strategy, theory of change, continual learning and adaptation, and impact
  • Evidence & Insights: Gather, analyse, and interpret data to support reflective learning, adaptive practice, and strategic evolution.
  • External Learning & Influence: Engage with key sectors, stay across emerging trends, and ensure our work contributes to broader conversations of community led practice.
  • Partner Support: Work alongside our partners to recognise and articulate their impact, fostering collective learning and shared storytelling.

Experience and abilities

We recognise that experience comes in many forms. Whether through formal education, professional experience, or lived expertise, we invite you to share how your background and skills sets would support you in this position, and your interest in contributing to the work of the Foundation.

  • Practical experience – extensive experience in impact measurement, data analysis, or relatable roles or functions.
  • A strategic mindset—able to connect the dots between measurement, learning, and influence to identify patterns, trends and opportunities.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data and translate insights into meaningful action.
  • Excellent communication skills—written and verbal—to clearly articulate complex concepts in relatable and contextual ways.
  • A collaborative and people-centered approach to working with communities and stakeholders.
  • A full driver’s license (desirable) as the role involves travel to local and regional partners.
