About the role

This new role at the ACO offers a great opportunity to develop and implement a diverse fundraising program focussing on partnerships and sponsorships, and supporting major gifts, grants and regular giving.
Reporting directly to the Marketing and Communications Manager, and working closely with the Chief Executive Officer, this role will work across the organisation, predominately supporting fundraising for ACO Eye Care and the ACO’s research objectives.
Accountabilities

Identify and develop opportunities for new and diverse income streams.

Develop and implement strategies to engage corporate partners in long-term support, including sponsorships and philanthropy.

Strengthen and maintain relationships with funders through stewardship.

Collaborate and support teams in reporting on ACO impact, through testimonials and patient stories.

Stay up to date with, and comply with fundraising best practice and relevant legislation.

Identify funding opportunities and lead the development of high quality, compelling grant applications.
About you
Your work will directly impact the health and wellbeing of some of our most vulnerable communities. It is essential you are a natural communicator with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and secure funding that supports the ACO’s objectives.
You will work closely with subject matter experts and have the skills and ability to prioritise effectively when managing multiple fundraising activities.
Skills and Knowledge

Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to shape key messages within funding applications.

Results oriented– proven success in achieving service and revenue objectives.

Proficient computer literacy and technology skills including MS Office.

Well-developed organisational and time management skills.

Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to foster working relationships at all levels.

Ability to work as part of a team whilst managing individual workload.
Essential Criteria

Experience in a corporate or philanthropic partnerships role.
Desired Criteria
-
Experience in a similar fundraising role within the health sector would be highly regarded.

Experience in the establishment of corporate partnerships and donor stewardship.

Familiar with pursuing grants, trusts and foundations opportunities.

Experience working with members and/or alumni groups.
-
Motivated to serve the community, and in particular, people experiencing disadvantage.
