More than just a football club, the Western Bulldogs has a long-standing history as the community club of the AFL. The Western Bulldogs Community Foundation is the club’s community arm that utilises the trusted brand of our football club to deliver life changing programs in Melbourne’s West and beyond.
The Foundation delivers demonstrated impact in the areas of health and wellbeing, youth leadership, cultural diversity and social inclusion. Reaching more than 20,000 community members each year, with more than 4,000 participants taking part in our programs, this critical work is underpinned by a whole of Club commitment that is strongly supported by all three levels of government, and a range of corporate and community partners. About the role
The role of Marketing Coordinator will support the development and execution of marketing and communications activities to drive engagement and grow income. Reporting to the Digital Marketing Manager, this role will play a key role in supporting brand equity, with responsibility for the design and production of a wide range of marketing assets, including graphic design, photography and videography, as well as printed collateral and merchandise for foundation programs and events.
This role is also responsible for:
- Collecting and managing foundation stories, videos and photos
- Working closely with the Digital Marketing Manager to drive website and social media engagement
- Ensuring the foundation’s planning tools and calendars are up to date
- Monitoring the performance of digital marketing activities against goals and objectives
- Collaborating with the club’s marketing and digital teams where applicable
- Supporting the planning and execution of foundation events
- Providing advice and guidance to foundation staff to ensure marketing activities are best practice
Skills and experience
- Demonstrated experience in design and production for online and offline channels, including graphic design, photography, video, and video production.
- Demonstrated skills in the implementation of content-driven, multi-channel marketing communications campaigns.
- Demonstrated understanding of marketing fundamentals including market orientation, market research, segmentation, targeting, positioning, brand, and integrated marketing communications.
- Well-developed organisational skills with an ability to work independently and prioritise workflow.
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills to develop, nurture and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- A tertiary qualification in communications and/or design, or related field.
- At least 2+ years’ experience using the Adobe Creative Suite, social media software, content management systems, web analytics tools and MS Office.
- Experience with Salesforce and/or HubSpot desirable.
