Non-Executive Board Director (2 Roles)

ARC Disability Services is a not-for-profit organisation which is the largest independent provider of disability supports in Far North Queensland, with a long history of supporting children and adults living with a disability, their families and support networks.

We are seeking applications for two (2) Non-Executive Directors to join the Board to support organisational governance and strategy. Our strategic priorities of innovation, influence and improvement, guide our commitment to quality supports and services during a time of significant reform within the NDIS sector.

Applications are sought for:

• A Board Director with lived experience of disability; and
• A Board Director with knowledge, experience and skills in quality and care governance

About the Role

These are paid roles that offer an opportunity to contribute to strategic oversight and governance to help shape and guide the organisation’s mission to deliver high-quality, inclusive services for people with disability. Your insights and advocacy will help ensure the organisation remains person-centred, responsive, and accountable.

Directors are appointed for a three-year term and commit approximately 15 – 20 days per year, including participation in Board and Committee meetings and strategic planning sessions. Meetings ae held in a mix of in-person meetings (x 3 per year held in Cairns) and online formats with travel arranged and funded.

Directors receive remuneration aligned to sector benchmarks.
