About the role
- Lead Strategic People Operations in a Purpose-Driven National Organisation

- Salary circa $135K plus super. CBD office with flexible Hybrid/WFH
- Manage end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, contracts and employee lifecycle processes
- Lead the design, implementation, and review of HR policies, procedures, and best practice frameworks
- Oversee compliance with workplace laws, WHS, anti-discrimination, and employment standards
- Drive culture, engagement, performance, and workforce development initiatives
- Coach and support managers on people management, feedback, and performance planning
- Maintain ER/IR and HR reporting, including workforce metrics, staffing forecasts, and leave management
- Lead HR projects that respond to business needs and organisational change
- Cultivate strong working relationships across teams and support a collaborative environment
About you:
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience leading/managing HR functions
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resource Management or related field
- Strong understanding of contemporary HR practices and employment legislation
- Proven experience in policy development, employee relations, and HR compliance
- Experience with HR Information Systems (HRIS) implementation and administration
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- A proactive, relationship-driven and solutions-focused mindset
- Knowledge of the Australian Vocational Education and Training (VET) system
