About the role
Lead with purpose. Make a real difference.
At Lutheran Care, we believe the way we lead our people shapes the impact we have in the community. We’re seeking an Operations Manager who is energised by developing people, building strong relationships, and creating a culture where teams thrive.
This is more than a service delivery role — it’s about leading a passionate and capable team to deliver high-quality support to people in Central Australia. You’ll be supported by a committed leadership group and collaborate closely with our Senior Manager NT to shape and grow our services with heart, purpose and integrity.
What you’ll be doing:
- Lead and inspire a small team to deliver community programs that change lives.
- Coach and develop your people, support wellbeing, and manage performance to build a strong, connected, values-led culture.
- Build trusted relationships with partners, stakeholders and community members – especially First Nations communities – to ensure services are delivered in a culturally respectful and meaningful way.
- Support program growth by identifying opportunities for enhancement and innovation based on evidence, feedback and local insight.
- Champion the Lutheran Care brand in Central Australia, helping to extend our impact and reputation in the region.
About You:
You’re an experienced leader who brings out the best in people. You value clear communication, thrive on connection, and understand that great leadership starts with care, trust and inclusion.
You’ll also bring:
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- A collaborative, culturally responsive approach to community engagement
- A passion for building strong, healthy teams
- Experience in service delivery, program management or community development (desirable)
Why join Lutheran Care?
We care about the people who work here – and it shows. As part of our team, you’ll enjoy:
- Paid parental leave
- Salary packaging to boost your take-home pay
- Internal and external learning opportunities
- Annual staff conference and celebration events
- An innovative, supportive and caring workplace culture
Additional requirements:
You’ll need a valid NT Driver’s Licence, a roadworthy vehicle (with reimbursement for work travel), current Working with Children (Ochre Card) and NDIS Worker Screening Checks, and a Safe Environments for Children & Young People certificate.
At Lutheran Care, inclusion, compassion, courage and social justice guide everything we do. We strongly encourage Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and those from diverse cultural backgrounds to apply.
Lead people. Build community. Create change.
