Our diverse range of programs isn't just a list of services; we're leading the charge to break down barriers and foster genuine inclusion and participation in our communities.

Our eyes are firmly on the future with our plan to harness new technologies and expand our service offerings and footprint in innovative ways.

About the role

The Toward Home Alliance’ Vision is to Prevent and End Homelessness, and we committed to working collaboratively, transparently and passionately with clients, community and our partners. Comprising Aboriginal Family Support Services, Baptist Care SA, Hutt St Centre, Lutheran Care, Mission Australia, Sonder, The Salvation Army and the St Vincent de Paul Society of South Australia, we deliver early intervention, transitional and crisis supports across the inner city, Southern and Adelaide Hills regions. We know it takes a community to end homelessness, and every person and partner has a vital role to play.

And this is where you come in!

As our Manager – Adelaide Zero Project, you will be skilled and experienced at working collaboratively to coordinate service and system efforts to end rough sleeping homelessness in the inner city.

This leadership role will oversee the AZP backbone team, and entails significant engagement with stakeholders, ability to work across and drive systems integration and quality improvement, and capacity to use data to inform and advocate for practice and service system improvements.

It is a key strategic role, and will involve significant engagement with the South Australian Alliance to End Homelessness (SAAEH), THA’s Alliance Management Team (AMT) and Alliance Leadership Team (ALT), as well as the wider South Australian community and other service systems including housing, health and justice. You will be a strong advocate for social justice, and have a demonstrated understanding and empathy for the ‘work’ and ability to drive continuous improvement activities. Further, you will enjoy leading by example, and your passion and ‘can do’ attitude will place you in good stead to drive outcomes.

Using your high-level communication skills, you’ll build strong, influential and productive relationships at all levels, with a diverse group of stakeholders.

This is a unique opportunity for job satisfaction tied to a full-time contract role. In addition to improving quality of life every day, your hard work, enthusiasm and commitment will be rewarded with the support of a passionate team.

You will require:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification (a degree in relevant discipline) and/or relevant experience are essential, as is a full Drivers Licence and a reliable vehicle.
  • Ability to lead, support and resource the strategic directions of the Adelaide Zero Project, the Toward Home Alliance and the South Australian Alliance to End Homelessness (SAAEH)
  • Exemplary role modelling of building and sustaining relationships, as well as bringing people and communities together to unite and drive a common agenda towards ending homelessness.
  • Drive systems change, including alignment with and integration with other systems, including health, corrections and housing as well as other systems such as NDIS and Aged Care
  • Participate in South Australian Alliance to End Homelessness (SAAEH) strategic planning and implementation.
  • Manage the AZP back-bone team – including seconded staff –
  • Providing content expertise and technical assistance during national and community-based events, including coaching, webinars, training and development, presentations).
