About the organisation
About Atidia
Atidia builds perioperative software that transforms how hospitals plan and deliver surgery by turning fragmented, manual workflows into reliable, data‑driven pathways that improve patient safety, reduce complications and shorten waitlists. We translate clinical evidence into products clinicians actually use, delivering visible improvements in theatre throughput, patient outcomes and system costs.
Product and impact
Atidia combines intuitive workflow design, real‑time analytics and embedded clinical decision support to create repeatable, auditable care pathways. Our software reduces variation at critical handovers, flags safety risks earlier, and produces measurable KPIs that health services use to justify scale and procurement. Customers see clinical and financial outcomes documented in pilot deployments.
Evidence and traction
We operate from evidence, not hype: pilots demonstrate reduced complications and tangible system savings, early enterprise deployments validate integration with hospital IT stacks, and clinician partners drive product decisions. Commercial momentum is deliberate and evidence-driven, focused on converting pilots into procurement-ready contracts.
Culture and operating model
Atidia is a compact, mission-driven team that moves fast without cutting corners. We pair clinical partnership with commercial discipline, run short delivery cycles that test features with frontline teams, and prioritise governance, regulatory readiness and auditable outcomes. We value pragmatic operators who prefer measurable impact over theoretical plans.
Startup journey and next phase
Atidia is beyond proof‑of‑concept and entering the scale-up phase: repeatable pilot outcomes, initial enterprise sales conversations and investor interest position us to professionalise governance, broaden enterprise adoption and expand into regulated markets. We’re hiring board and executive partners who can help convert momentum into sustainable, system‑level adoption and commercial growth.
About the role
Atidia is a fast-scaling health‑tech business modernising perioperative care with software that reduces complications, shortens waitlists, and delivers measurable system savings. We have proven pilot outcomes, a clear product roadmap, and momentum to move into enterprise procurement and regulated markets.
We seek a pragmatic, commercially savvy Board member with deep health‑sector credibility who can convert pilots into contracts, strengthen governance for regulated entry, and open channels to system decision makers. You will add strategic oversight on commercial scaling, procurement navigation, and clinical governance.
What you’ll do
- Provide expert advice on commercial contract governance: liability, indemnities, IP, data use, and exit/transition clauses.
- Support the development and standardisation of contract templates, negotiation checklists, and red‑flag guides.
- Counsel on procurement compliance, vendor due diligence, and regulatory exposure.
- Advise on design and embedding of practical risk‑mitigation and escalation pathways for rapid roll-out.
- Offer a timely legal perspective during tenders, partner negotiations, and critical risk events.
Preferred experience
We welcome applicants who can demonstrate:
- Legal qualification or senior legal/governance experience with strong commercial contracting expertise.
- Practical knowledge of liability, indemnity, IP, data protection, and regulatory compliance in health and technology
- Experience advising on governance and risk frameworks for scaling organisations.
- Credibility with hospital legal/procurement teams or government purchasers.
- Collaborative approach and enthusiasm for start‑up scale‑up challenges.
Commitment & location
- Monthly board meetings & annual review session
- Voluntary position with meaningful strategic impact.
