About the organisation
At Revesby Uniting Church, we value authenticity and inclusion. We welcome and celebrate people of all cultural heritage, ability, age, gender identity and sexual orientation, inviting everyone to participate fully in the life of our community.
We are searchers who explore the Christian faith and spirituality, following and valuing the way of Jesus. We ask questions without always expecting answers, and we look for meaning and purpose in our daily lives. We welcome all people, all experiences, all expressions of faith and doubt.
As a community, we seek practical, real-life expressions of love and justice – both in our local neighbourhood and the wider world. Our life together includes activities like Kidsplay (our playgroup for children 0–5 and their carers), the Rivergum Community Garden (a place for growing food, friendship and care for the environment) and Sunday gatherings. We partner with others to create and host events that unite diverse people in working for the common good of our communities.
We believe in the healing and hope that can come from a good conversation shared over cake and coffee- whether it’s our monthly Men’s Havachat at a local café, our weekly get-together for older folks at the church, morning tea after Sunday services, or a shared meal in the garden.
Our church spaces are also home to a wide range of community-building activities run by others, including First Nations programs for children, social groups for teenagers, and food-sharing programs for local families.
