Are you passionate about making a difference in children’s health? We are now recruiting for a full-time, ongoing Manager, Communications, to take responsibility for the delivery of best practice communications strategies and initiatives which ensure high quality communications to the public, across the RCH Foundation’s partners, donors, and supporters to enhance branding and fundraising strategies and outcomes.

Join Our Team as a Manager, Communications!

The Manager, Communications reports to the Director, Communications and works closely with the wider communications and creative team and cross‑departmental teams to deliver innovative, high-impact communications that deepen engagement, grow brand awareness, and drive philanthropic support for the RCH Foundation.

 

About You

  • You are purpose driven and committed to the mission and values of the RCH Foundation.
  • You have 4+ years of proven success in a senior communications and/or marketing role, including developing, leading and executing integrated communications campaigns and initiatives across print and digital channels, ideally with tertiary qualifications in communications, marketing, journalism or a related discipline.
  • You have strong stakeholder management stills, including a demonstrated ability to foster productive internal and external relationships.
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication, including writing, editing, and proofing for a range of mediums, as well as strong verbal and presentation skills, with the ability to confidently communicate ideas, strategies and plans to internal and external stakeholders.
  • You are a creative, innovative thinker with a solutions-focused mindset and the ability to respond flexibly to emerging opportunities or challenges.
  • You have excellent attention to detail, editing and proofreading skills.
  • You are proficient in Office 365 and have experience using content management systems (CMS) and customer relationship management (CRM) platforms.
  • Ideally you will have experience in a communications leadership role within a not-for-profit, health, fundraising or purpose-driven organisation, managing media and PR campaigns and/or delivering or supporting in-person and virtual events.
  • You are confident in your work but know when and how to consult others to keep work moving, to achieve the best results and to avoid risk.
  • You have a commitment to personal development.

 

Key Selection Criteria

  • Demonstrated experience in leading and managing a small team, including supporting team performance, development, and workflow.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and executing communications campaigns for brand and fundraising initiatives, from inception to completion.
  • Proven written communication skills, including the ability to craft clear, compelling content for a variety of audiences and channels that support donor stewardship and philanthropic campaigns. (Please attach two examples to your application).
  • Demonstrable experience maintaining positive working relationships with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing content for user journeys and lifecycle campaigns.
  • Proven ability to display initiative, manage priorities, manage multiple issues and projects simultaneously, take responsibility for projects and show a proactive attitude.
