About the role
Suncare Community Services Ltd is a Queensland based not-for-profit community services organisation offering quality in-home, community and respite care for people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities.
Established in 1970 on the Sunshine Coast, we now operate centres in North Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast, Gympie, Wide Bay and Burnett regions, and Central Queensland. In 2014/15 Suncare managed contracts in excess of $20M, including the operation of Australian Government My Aged Care Regional Assessments Services and Commonwealth Respite and Care program throughout Queensland’s regions.
Our dedicated team of 300 staff and over 400 volunteers delivered more than185,000 hours of direct services to help people to live independently in their own homes and to remain active and connected in their communities.
Our vision is to be strong leaders and innovators in community support and person-centred care. In light of our continued growth and our commitment to the sector, Suncare has created a new role of Manager of Innovation, Growth and Connection. This role will drive the strategic development of the organisation, manage the innovative ways that we work with our community, plan and implement new and better company product and service development and manage the way we connect with our stakeholders and clients.
Managing a small team, this executive level role will be instrumental in providing leadership in planning and developing the company’s business. In particular, the role is responsible for:
• Driving organisational change in the company as it develops new and better ways to build the services it provides to the community, and the way it communicates internally and externally.
• Analysing and planning for our future activity using external and internal data in more innovative ways
• Fostering and managing relationships with the people and organisations that we connect with
• Developing the organisation’s key external communications tools including web and social media
Reporting directly to the CEO, you will work closely with the Board, Executive Team and key stakeholders in developing, growing and maintaining important collaborations, alliances and strategic partnerships. To be successful in this role, you should have:
• Relevant tertiary qualifications
• At least seven years of good performance in a senior management role
• Previous experience in a not-for-profit organisation, preferably community services/aged care/health industries, with an understanding of the drivers and future development pathways within the community services sector
• Demonstrated experience in developing and driving strategic planning processes
• A strong track record in project managing the implementation of new processes in organisations
• Demonstrated leadership in driving organisational change
• A record of development of innovative strategies in new systems development
• Sound experience in high-level communications management
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Valid Queensland driver’s licence
