About the role
Volunteer Partnerships for West Africa (VPWA) is a volunteer-driven NGO based in Ghana. VPWA engages with a number of local projects, improving opportunities for people in underprivileged communities through better education, health, sanitation and sustainable development.
VPWA partner projects rely on the support of volunteers from around the world. The projects are chosen based on their links to the principles of the UN Global Compact, with an aim to assist in fulfilling the Sustainable Development Goals.
VPWA offers volunteer projects for groups and individuals in Ghana. These give you the chance to contribute to one of VPWA’s valuable projects, whilst experiencing life as part of a community in Ghana.
We run a diverse range of projects, so whether you are a professional or a student, you will be able to find a volunteer project in a field that will suit your interests, experience or studies.
We currently require volunteers who can assist in the areas of:
-Administration and management;
-Education;
-Health;
-Poverty alleviation;
-Humanitarian assistance;
-Environment;
-Construction and development; and
-Culture.
