VRC Project Lead

About the role
An exciting opportunity is now available for someone with a strong background in events project management to join our Fundraising Partnerships Team!
The VRC Project Lead will work together with both internal teams at Starlight and the VRC to brighten the lives of seriously ill children, young people and their families by leading and delivering the Victoria Racing Club (VRC) project and initiatives in 2016.
You will successfully execute the VRC project by ensuring project elements are delivered on time, within budget and to a high quality standard. Engagement of key stakeholders through strong relationship management and quality communication is a key part of the role as is effective project reporting including milestones and outcomes.

This role is Melbourne based and is available to start immediately 3 days per week until the end of May and then 4 or 5 days per week until the end November 2016.

• Strong project management skills
• Strong organisational skills with evidence of delivery to deadlines
• Proven ability to deliver outcomes against project plans
• Demonstrated ability in technology, software programs and IT systems
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Demonstrated ability to work cross functionally and engage with various levels of business
• Experience of delivering projects into operations
• Experience working in project management in a not-for-profit environment is desirable
• Qualifications or relevant experience in Project Management
