About Primary Health Tasmania

Primary Health Tasmania is a non-government, not-for-profit organisation working to connect care and keep Tasmanians well and out of hospital. We are one of 31 primary health networks (PHNs) established nationally on 1 July 2015 as part of the Australian Government’s Primary Health Networks program.

Primary Health Tasmania operates statewide with offices in Hobart, Launceston and Ulverstone.

Primary Health Tasmania have an opportunity for a Clinical Epidemiologist to join their team.

Clinical Epidemiologist

This is a specialised role informing health service planning and evaluation by sharing the understanding and interpretation of epidemiological information as an important evidence base for decision making and demonstration of outcomes.

To be successful, you must have tertiary qualifications in epidemiology, biostatistics, or a related field, with demonstrated experience in researching, developing, and evaluating health services, programs, and initiatives. A high level of computer literacy is key and the successful candidate will demonstrate proficiency using a range of statistical software packages as well as Microsoft Excel.
