Audiology Australia’s mission is to give value to its members as the peak professional body in audiology by providing education, advocacy, and setting ethical standards of practice, to ensure audiologists are able to deliver the highest standards of hearing health care and are valued by the community for their services.

About the Role

An exciting opportunity currently exists for a suitably experienced and motivated individual to join Audiology Australia in the full time position of Marketing and Events Coordinator. The Marketing and Events Coordinator is required to oversee and support in the planning, delivery and implementation of Audiology Australia’s events program, including but not limited to: networking events, briefings, workshops, webinars and conferences.

This role will also assist with development and production of Audiology Australia’s communications including: event marketing, monthly e-newsletter and social media channels. Please note this position requires some travel to administer events in other Australian States and Territories and may require some out of regular office hour’s work.

The successful applicant will need to demonstrate:

  • Experience in end-to-end event management
  • Understanding of Social Media Channels including Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn
  • Ability to plan daily workloads and prioritise schedules and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build rapport with key stakeholders Proven ability to work both independently and in a team
  • Well-developed administrative and organisational skills
  • Genuine desire to provide a memorable and positive experience for all stakeholders

Key Selection Criteria:

  • Tertiary qualifications or relevant professional experience in marketing and event management
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in event coordination, administration and delivery (conference management experience will be considered favourable)
  • Proficiency using Windows Microsoft suite, experience in updating CRMs and social media platforms
  • Ability to liaise and manage key sponsorships to ensure events are successful
  • An enthusiastic, can do attitude and an eagerness to learn and develop Able to multi-task – work on a variety of projects
  • High level of communication skills and an ability to quickly grow rapport with members
  • Strong attention to detail
  • A high level of initiative combined with an ability to work independently within a small team
