Royal Far West (RFW) is a children’s charity that has been providing health services to children living in rural and remote New South Wales for over 90 years. We assist children experiencing developmental, behavioural, learning and mental health difficulties. Our mission is to make an outstanding contribution to the health and wellbeing of children and young people in rural and remote NSW. Our vision is healthy country children.
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated person to join our Business Development unit as we embark on an exciting new phase in the history of our organisation.
Based in Manly, this newly created role is responsible for enabling delivery of RFW’s services into education settings. The aim is to establish funded and long-standing school and pre-school partnerships which deliver real and tangible outcomes for children in rural and remote Australia.
Generating service contracts through schools, pre-schools and the broader education system is the role’s primary purpose. Excellent relationship development and management skills are a critical aspect of this role along with extensive knowledge of the pre-school and primary school education sector.
Reporting directly to the Business Director, you will demonstrate the following essential criteria:
• Proven business development skills and demonstrated success in achieving sales targets in a team environment, ideally with NGO experience;
• Demonstrated network of education sector decision makers and capability to generate and complete opportunity leads;
• Strong proposal development skills with demonstrated achievements in securing service contracts direct with schools and pre-schools;
• Experience in development and execution of marketing and communications and advocacy campaigns to support sector engagement and sales programs;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills coupled with strong customer insights and sound commercial acumen;
• Professionally presented and confidence to prepare and present to external groups and individuals;
• A proactive and action driven professional attitude and approach with the ability to generate ideas, think innovatively and problem solve;
• Demonstrated ability to exercise judgment, maturity, initiative, and diplomacy in professional approach;
• A current drivers licence, plus availability to travel to represent RFW at fundraising initiatives, activities and events.
An attractive remuneration package, including the ability to salary package will be negotiated with the successful candidate. The successful applicant will be required to provide a current Working with Children Check.
