Guide to Giving of bushfire appeals

In response to the devastating bushfires that have torn through Australia, we have seen an outpouring of generosity to support communities in the fire affected areas. Hundreds of charities, individuals and businesses have stepped up to provide relief where they can, but many more people are looking for ways to help.

As many of you will know Pro Bono Australia’s flagship product is our Guide to Giving, which has established itself as Australia’s most trusted directory that connects donors with causes. With this in mind, we’ve compiled a list of bushfire appeals and charities you can donate to. Links take you directly to the bushfire appeal websites.

Please note inclusion in the list does not reflect an endorsement by Pro Bono Australia. To avoid known scams people should check with the ACCC’s Scamwatch

For more advice on how to donate to Australian bushfire relief, read Pro Bono News’ article hereFor anyone affected by the bushfires, the AskIzzy platform has been updated with all the latest bushfire support information.

Note:
Tax Deductible = These organisations have been endorsed as Deductible Gift Recipients (DGR) and can receive tax deductible gifts.
Registered Charity = These organisations are charities registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission.

If you know of a bushfire appeal that we have missed, please let us know at news@probonoaustralia.com.au
