About the role
Community Options Australia is an innovative not-for-profit organisation with a mission to promote and strengthen the community care sector.
We are dedicated to supporting a diverse and resilient sector, which provides all Australians with choice and accessibility. From our establishment as a not-for-profit representative organisation in 1996, Community Options Australia became recognised as a leader in the development and delivery of packaged care solutions.
The Board are seeking to fill two Director positions; one Board-appointed, and one Member-elected. The ideal candidates for the two available positions will have experience at a senior management or Board level in one or more of the following areas; human resources, quality, compliance and risk management, legal, change management, and experience working with Government.
You will need to be a willing team player, with the time and energy required to fully and thoughtfully commit to your role. The Board usually holds six face-to-face and six teleconference meetings per annum. The role is a voluntary commitment, with expenses for travel, accommodation and training reimbursed.
It is desirable for the Board to reflect the broader representation of Community Options Australia’s diverse membership and Australian society, to contribute to a diversity of perspectives.
