About the role
• 4-5 days (30.4-38 hours) per week (negotiable)
• $77,755-$80,423 (pro-rata) + personal use of work vehicle. Classified at SCHCADS Award Level 6 (YACVic pays above award rates).
• 12 month fixed term contract with potential to be ongoing, subject to funding.
• Based in Melbourne, Warrnambool or Swan Hill, with regular work at all three sites (YACVic has generous working away from home provisions, including accommodation, meals and travel reimbursements).
About Youth Affairs Council of Victoria (YACVic)
YACVic is the state’s peak body and leading policy advocate on young people’s issues. Funded by the Victorian Government, YACVic Rural increases our presence across the Southern Mallee and Great South Coast regions and expands our state-wide advocacy and support for young people in rural communities and the rural youth sector. YACVic Rural operates from offices in Warrnambool and Swan Hill.
About the role
Leading the YACVic Rural team, the Rural Manager oversees operations and supervises two Rural Development Coordinators (RDCs). Based in Melbourne, Warrnambool or Swan Hill, the Rural Manager works a minimum of three days every month from each location. The Rural Manager is flexible, motivated and works closely with a passionate, collaborative team.
You will have:
• experience in project/program management;

• a strong desire to improve outcomes for rural and regional communities;
• a proactive, ‘can-do’ attitude, with willingness to travel regularly in Victoria.
