About the role

FRANS supports people living with a disability in leading active lives and in exercising the greatest possible independence. We are based in the Inner West of Sydney and primarily work with people living with intellectual, cognitive and developmental disabilities.

We are recruiting an experienced person to support individuals with flexible funding packages as well as supporting other projects. This position reports to the Senior Coordinator of Support and will work within a diverse team of professionals.

* Do your strengths lie in customer service, communication and meeting the needs of the individuals in the community?

* Are you motivated by liaising with people from a diverse range of backgrounds and developing strategies on how to best support them?

* Are your skills in working one to one with individuals and their families to develop, implement and review individual support plans?

* Do you have a sound knowledge of person-centered practices, including taking a holistic approach to supporting an individual and their family to address needs, wants, dignity of risk and wellbeing?

Selection Criteria:

Essential

1. A sound understanding of person centered approaches and person centered planning

2. A willingness to work cooperatively and positively with Management, Coordination and Support Worker team

3. Demonstration of excellent time management skills, the ability to meet deadlines and multitask

4. Demonstration of strong leadership with both Coordination team and Support Work team

5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills

6. Demonstrated high level of problem solving skills, use initiative and work with minimal supervision

7. Excellent customer service skills

8. Sound knowledge of MS Office products

9. A strong commitment to enhancing the lives of people with disabilities and their families, and

10. A current NSW driver’s license, access to a vehicle and the ability to drive to offsite meetings and other relevant functions as requested.

Desirable

1. Minimum of 12 months experience in coordination or management

2. Knowledge of the Inner West area of Sydney and services for people with a disability

A generous salary packaging option can be offer as a part of the total remuneration.
