SANE Australia is looking for a motivated, energetic and passionate individual to lead our fundraising program. This is a unique opportunity to join the SANE Australia team as SANE moves into a new phase of operation, our commitment to providing the 4 million Australians affected by complex mental illnesses with better support, stronger connections, less discrimination and longer lives underpins our vision of an Australia where everyone affected by mental illness lives a long and fulfilling life.

The Fundraising Manager is accountable for the leadership, strategic development and management of SANE Australia’s fundraising activities. The role includes stewardship of existing donor relationships and proactively identifying and building new relationships/partnerships with sponsors, companies, trusts and foundations and key stakeholders. The role is responsible for working with the CEO and Executive Officer to identify and build a high net worth individual strategy.

Selection Criteria includes:
• Marketing, Communications or other applicable tertiary qualification
• A minimum of 3 – 5 years experience in a similar fundraising leadership role
• An understanding of issues pertaining to mental health and mental illness, previous experience in mental health sector is highly desirable but not essential
• Successfully managed donor giving program, donor communications and annual campaigns to grow donations
• Experience in writing and managing donor communications using a range of communication tools
• Extensive database management experience, Sales Force experience preferred and highly desirable but not mandatory
• Excellent planning, time management and organisational abilities
• Highly motivated and able to work independently, set goals and targets and take ownership of the overall fundraising strategy
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Adaptable and flexible to changing circumstances and needs of the role
• Able to work under pressure, meeting key project and reporting deadlines
