About the opportunity
The Life Skills Supporters will work in partnership with people with disability and their families and carers to enable them to live the life they choose as they make the most out of the NDIS. You will apply a person-centred approach and knowledge to assist participants with their daily life at home, in the community, education and at work, community, social and recreational activities, and other support as required.
There are multiple casual positions in Inner West Sydney and South West Sydney, and multiple permanent positions in Inner West Sydney.
More about you
You will have strong interest and experience working in the Disability sector, supported by qualifications in Social Science and/or Community Services.
You will be able to demonstrate unwavering commitment to working with people with disability in order for them to build their capacity to gain more control over their lives, to pursue their goals for a good life and to play a valued role in their communities.
Preferably, you will have experience working with Aboriginal people and people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds as well as planning, delivering and evaluating person-centred plans and services in a culturally competent manner.
