Austin Health is a major teaching and research centre whose entities comprise of Austin Hospital, Heidelberg Repatriation Hospital and Royal Talbot Rehabilitation Centre, plus the Olivia Newton-John Cancer Wellness & Research Centre (ONJ Centre). Following a restructure in 2015, the Fundraising Department is in a growth and expansion phase, supported by the Executive and Board.

Reporting to the Director of Fundraising & Development, the Head of Partnerships will manage a small team, and lead an integrated strategy to grow commercial and philanthropic revenue and partnership engagement across these two strong and reputable brands – Austin Health and the ONJ Centre. This encompasses engagement with, and applications to philanthropic trusts; acquisition, stewardship and cultivation of corporate partners; and strategic oversight of signature events and retail initiatives. The role will engage with various donors, building long-term meaningful relationships and financial support.

Proven success in Major Gift fundraising using ‘moves management’ techniques is essential, along with strong people management, and the ability to engage commercial partners in mutually beneficial relationships. You will need high level skills in relationship building, project management, communication, research, networking and negotiation.
