Elizabeth Street Common Ground (ESCG) is an innovative approach to housing people who have experienced long term homelessness. The ESCG development is the first of its kind in Australia and is based on five key elements:
- Permanency – offering self-contained, high quality housing
- Safety – controlled access increases safety and security of tenants
- Affordability – with rents set at a maximum of 30% of income
- Supportive- with on-site supports to help stabilise and sustain housing
- Diversity – a social mix of tenants ensuring a thriving community
This Support Worker position is responsible for the development, implementation and ongoing monitoring of support plans and associated support work for a range of tenants within ESCG.
