About the role

  • Full Time, Contract (12 Months)
  • Manage service delivery for people living with disabilities
  • Provide leadership; ensure best practice services; deliver outcomes
  • Multiple facilities totalling 70 beds across greater Sydney and regional NSW

 

The Organisation

 As a leading provider of disability services in NSW and the ACT, Northcott supports more than 13,000 children and adults with a disability as well as their families and is dedicated to ensuring people with disability can live the life they choose.

Northcott’s community based supported accommodation and group homes service is expected to significantly grow under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).

 

The Role

You will report to the Director of Operations to ensure the activities of a number of accommodation services operate at consistently high standards and provide quality outcomes for people living with a disability, their families and carers.

The role has authority to make operational and administrative decisions and implement structures and processes to enable teams to provide a high quality service.

Specifically you will also be responsible for:

  • Ensuring individual care needs are met
  • Day to day operations in supported home settings
  • Coordinate specialist services including clinical and behaviour support
  • Managing and coaching staff whilst supporting them to deliver excellence
  • Monitor revenue and expenditure against budgets for supported accommodation

 

Skills Required

You have relevant qualifications and experience in managing multiple services within a community sector environment, ideally that would include experience with disability services. You also have:

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication
  • Analytical skills including an ability to interpret financial and performance data
  • A positive practice approach within a supported accommodation
  • Knowledge of legislation impacting human services delivery, particularly disability
  • Experience liaising and negotiating with stakeholders including government & families

 

Relevant probity checks, first aid certificate (or willingness to obtain) and NSW driver’s licence are also mandatory requirements for this role.
