About the organisation

Organisation Name : CanTeen Australia
CanTeen is a national support organisation for 12 - 25 year olds who cope with cancer in their family. Through CanTeen, they learn to explore and deal with feelings about cancer, connect with other young people in the same boat and if they have been diagnosed themselves, we also provide specialist, youth-specific treatment teams. No matter which role you are in, working for CanTeen is a chance to support young people rebuilding the foundations that crumbled beneath them when cancer turned their world upside down.

About the role

National Bandanna Day (NBD) is CanTeen’s flagship fundraising event which takes place in October each year. This merchandise based-fundraising campaign raises both funds and national awareness for CanTeen. The NBD Campaign Manager is responsible for the overall management and end to end delivery of the NBD campaign, from marketing plans and website development, to production of merchandise and management of corporate partnerships.

National Bandanna Day is now in its 22nd year, and with the recent launch of a new organisational strategic plan, CanTeen is hoping to use this opportunity to refresh and redevelop the campaign, in line with the organisational strategic objectives. This role will be required to play a vital part in this transformation, from innovative idea development and creation to implementation and successful execution of a brand new look for NBD!

As part of this exciting time for our flagship event, the NBD Campaign Manager will be required to design and deliver a new element to the NBD campaign for 2017, followed by a re-invention of the campaign for 2018.

This role is perfect for a entrepreneurial junior manager with 2-3 years of proven experience in a similar role. We are looking for someone with large scale events, fundraising and project management experience, with the chance to make their own mark on this iconic event.

About you:
2-3 years experience in a campaign management, fundraising campaign or marketing role.
Large scale project management experience.
Proven experience in successfully developing and implementing new campaigns and events.
Outstanding project management skills demonstrated through leading large scale projects.
An entrepreneurial spirit and ability to translate creative ideas into solutions.
Ability to deliver/execute strategy intent.
A self starter with a disciplined and determined approach.
A real desire to get involved in all aspects of an event from the glamorous to the not so glamourous
