Mambourin Enterprises is a highly respected not-for-profit community service association which supports people and their families through the quality provision of a wide range of specialist disability support services Mambourin employs over 200 staff and provides individualised support to more than 350 people over the age of 18 through group and individual activities across the western suburbs of Melbourne.
About the role
About the role
Reporting to the Site Manager, you will be responsible to develop and implement, in conjunction with the staff team, effective centre and community programs for adults with intellectual disabilities consistent with the goals and policies of the company. Core duties include: Program and direct support activities Transport people with a disability to and from external program activities as required Administrative, indirect support activities and record keeping Write reviews and reports as required Supervise and support volunteers to ensure appropriate and effective involvement of participants
Skills & experience
- Certificate IV in Disability or its equivalent with significant industry experience
- Demonstrated confidence in working with complex people and behaviours
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement group and individual programs
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated effective communication with Participants, Parents and/or Caregivers
- Demonstrated ability to write reviews, reports and Support Plans
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and work in accordance to all relevant standards, legislation and regulations
- Full driver’s licence
