The Opportunity
At Monash, we pride ourselves on having a sense of discovery and wanting to make a positive impact across the communities we serve. For colleagues across the External Relations, Development and Alumni division (ERDA) in the President and Vice-Chancellor’s Office we have inspired unparalleled levels of philanthropic support from more donors and alumni than ever before.
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Prospect Research Manager to lead our collaborative team, who will provide prospect research services to frontline fundraisers. In this role you will play a crucial role in accomplishing fundraising goals of ERDA and the broader University whilst managing a team of Prospect Researchers, developing their capabilities and driving their success. You will lead the mapping and development of potential prospects (donors) and prospect methodologies, as well as identifying, vetting and providing strategic guidance on prospects and their capacity to significantly contribute to the University.
To be successful in this role, you will have a relevant postgraduate qualification, or progress towards a postgraduate qualification, along with extensive relevant research experience in a related field, such as not-for-profit or corporate research. You will have a proven track record in fundraising, including assessing, mapping, scoping and vetting prospects, ideally in a higher education or not-for-profit sector. You will utilise your exceptional analytical and conceptual skills, and proven ability to gather intelligence, to ensure this role is a success.
If you are ready to take on this challenge, we strongly encourage you to apply now.
This role is a full-time position; however flexible-working arrangements may be negotiated.
