The Opportunity

Currently we are seeking an energetic and experienced Clinician to be appointed to the Senior Clinical Psychologist – CJP position based at Bella Vista, Sydney. As the successful candidate you will be responsible for overseeing clinical interventions and behavioural supports to people with an intellectual disability, involvement in the criminal justice system and other complex presentations, including mental health and substance use issues. In addition, you will be responsible for supporting and training internal staff who work in our Community Justice Program (CJP).

A natural leader, you will relish the opportunity to inspire and lead a dedicated clinical team to provide clinical intervention and behavioural support to people with an intellectual disability who have been involved in the criminal justice system.

What do I need?

To be successful in this role you will be a registered clinical psychologist who holds tertiary qualifications in Social Sciences or Community Services, coupled with significant experience in a similar position. You will oversee the clinical and behaviour support management provided to this client group. You will clearly demonstrate experience working with persons who have a dual diagnosis with significant mental health and disability complexities. You are an outstanding communicator with proven performance in establishing and maintaining open and cooperative relationships with internal and external stakeholders. In this role you will be required to travel on a regular basis to our services across NSW.
