About the organisation
Lentil As Anything Ltd is a non-profit charity organisation, committed to creating inclusive and vibrant community restaurants, allowing people from all walks of life to dine together, to make connections, and to share their lives. We also provide a place for community members to gain skills and experience in hospitality, kitchen work and coffeemaking.
Our first restaurant opened in 2000 in St Kilda, and we currently run four restaurants and a catering service in Australia, each with its own story, its own culture, and its own cuisine. The common thread among our restaurants is a dedication to high standards of food, service and culture.
About the role
We are seeking three values-driven, highly capable and motivated individuals to join our Board on a voluntary basis.
We would be happy to hear from you if you have expertise, background and experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Human Resources
- Public Relations and Marketing
- Social Work
It will be an exciting opportunity to contribute to Lentil’s organisational governance and assist with our future strategic directions. Currently there are 7 members on the board from various backgrounds and we require more members with the above skills.

In addition to demonstrated leadership, we would highly regard your skills in:
- Executive management
- Community engagement
- Strategic guidance and policy making
