The Alannah & Madeline Foundation is a national charity protecting children from violence and bullying. Our vision is that every child will live in a safe and supportive environment. The Foundation cares for children who have experienced or witnessed violence and runs programs which prevent violence in the lives of children. We play an advocacy role and we are a voice against childhood violence.
About the role
The Head of Marketing is an exciting new role within our redeveloped marketing & communications structure. It is the perfect opportunity for a candidate who can operate at the strategic level but who also enjoys participating directly in day-to-day operations.
Reporting to the GM Marketing & Communications, with 6 direct reports, this role has the accountability to support the delivery of the marketing strategy across the Foundation.
The Head of Marketing focuses on:
- creating, implementing and measuring the success of of a comprehensive marketing, communications and PR strategy;
- brand management, including conducting market research and monitoring trends;
- overseeing delivery of PR campaigns;
- overseeing design, production and distribution of publications and promotional materials;
- providing strategic advice and project coordination to internal stakeholders providing strong leadership to the marketing team, in line with our organisational values.
Experience required:
- 7 years’ minimum experience in managing a brand, including experience in strategy and implementation of marketing, communications and PR activities;
- 5 years’ minimum staff management experience including setting performance targets and review;
- a degree in journalism, marketing or PR (preferred);
- experience developing and managing budgets; experience overseeing the design and production of print materials.
