This is an exciting opportunity with a newly created position within CPS’ Professional Development and Education Unit. The primary purpose of the Senior Consultant – Professional Development and Education position is the sales, development, delivery and evaluation of professional education and training packages; the establishment, enhancement and management of client and customer relationships and contracts; quoting and selling the services of the CPS Professional Development and Education Unit ensuring market competitiveness; reporting to Executive Manager on market needs and trends; development of business systems and human resource capacity; and contributing to the ongoing development of the CPS Professional Development and Education Unit.

The position will contribute effectively to CPS’ management team, the community services sector and to the strategic development and direction of CPS with an emphasis on professional development and education products and services that are client focused and evidence based.

As our Senior Consultant you will have proven capabilities in developing and marketing training curriculum, delivering and evaluating quality education and training products, building and maintaining positive stakeholder relationships, and capacity to contribute to the development of innovative systems of Professional Development and Education delivery.

Tertiary qualifications in teaching, social work, psychology, early childhood, family therapy or similar are required. Proven experience in the child welfare sector essential. A Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment is desirable. Prior experience working in adult education is desirable. A Working with Children Card, National and International Police Checks and a driver’s licence are also required.
