About the organisation

Organisation Name : Australian Childhood Foundation

The Australian Childhood Foundation is a national children's charity aiming to prevent child abuse and reduce the harm it causes to children, families and the community. It provides specialist trauma counselling and therapeutic care to child victims of abuse, as well as running research, education and community awareness programs.

It is a Registered Training Organisation and delivers a range of accredited and non-accredited training programs. It also runs the Safeguarding Children Program which works to build the capacity of organisations to be child safe.

Do you have knowledge in the areas of education, child protection, child abuse or trauma, have experience in the delivery of training to professional groups? Are you wanting to utilise your skills to make a difference in the lives of others and your community?

We are seeking two Senior Trainers to help us reinvigorate the practice of helping professionals and carers who work with children and young people. You will be part of a team that really understands trauma and how to apply principles of trauma informed approaches to support more compassionate, attuned and caring interventions with our most vulnerable children and young people.

The Australian Childhood Foundation is a Registered Training Organisation and also runs a national professional education and training program to child protection, out of home care, health, welfare and education professionals on issues related to child protection practice, child abuse, family violence and trauma.

This is a wonderful opportunity to extend your own skills in using training methodologies to make a real difference to children, young people and the network of relationships they live, play and learn in.

We are interested in hearing from you if you have knowledge in the areas of education, child protection, child abuse or trauma, have experience in the delivery of training to professional groups, possess a relevant tertiary degree and want to be part of an expanding and exciting team. Interstate travel is required.
