Cancer Council Victoria has been leading efforts against cancer since 1936 through world leading research, prevention, support and advocacy programs. The Achievement Program sits within the Prevention Division and aims to support workplaces, schools and early childhood services to enhance their health promoting environments. The workplaces component of the Achievement Program does this through assisting businesses to achieve set standards around particular health priorities, such as healthy eating, tobacco, physical activity, alcohol and mental health and wellbeing.

About the role

• Coordinate the successful delivery of the Achievement Program (Healthy Workplaces) in Victoria
• Support organisations and businesses to enhance healthy work environments
• Part-time (0.8 FTE) fixed term for 6 months – St Kilda Road, Melbourne

About your opportunity

We are seeking a passionate and engaging Workplaces Coordinator to support the engagement and progression of Victorian workplaces participating in the Achievement Program. Reporting to the Program Manager, you will:

• Develop and implement program initiatives supporting hundreds of workplaces to create health promoting environments.
• Engage with business networks, key workplace health stakeholders, business and government stakeholders to build the profile of the program.
• Provide technical and general advice to stakeholders through direct contact, seminar and conference presentations.
• Work with the Communications Advisor to develop resources and communications.
• Monitor the program’s effectiveness, contributing to overall program evaluation.

All about you

We are looking for someone with:

•Tertiary qualifications or high level expertise in an organisational or business related discipline, or in health or social sciences.
• Demonstrated experience in developing, managing and implementing projects, policies or programs.
• Proven experience identifying opportunities to work with partners to achieve shared outcomes.
• Excellent communication and relationship management skills particularly in managing stakeholder relationships with peak health organisations.

What we can offer you

This part time (0.8 FTE) fixed term position for 6 months provides a salary within range $66,644 – $74,930 (pro-rata for part-time) plus superannuation, annual leave loading and the benefits of not-for-profit salary packaging and a meal entertainment card. This is a maternity leave replacement position.

We also offer a flexible and friendly work environment, social and wellbeing activities, and a location close to public transport.
